Effects of bomb

Generally atomic bombs are targeted over intensely populated areas because more damage will occur in this case. The center point of the bomb blast is called the hypocenter. The severity of the damage depends on the distance from this point. At the hypocenter, heat and pressure is so intense that everything is vaporized immediately. Around this point, exposure to high radiation, high temperature and rubbish material due to collapse of buildings cause casualties. These are the short term effects. Long term effects will be caused by the winds that pass though the blast area. They will propagate and carry the harmful radiation, which will also be absorbed by the water bodies. The intake of this water and exposure to radiation will result in loss of blood cells, nausea, cataracts, vomiting and hair loss. All these will eventually lead to cancer, infertility or birth defects. Is it predicted by the scientists that nuclear bombing in many part of the world would eventually lead to nuclear winter, a condition where the radioactive material would eventually go up the earth’s atmosphere and block out the sunlight. The reduction of sunlight will affect the life cycle as enough light will not be available for photosynthesis. Eventually all living beings will become extinct.
