Although atomic energy is beneficial, it has its own drawbacks. Every stage, right from the tapping till the storage and usage of atomic energy is very difficult and dangerous. This energy is tapped from uranium deposits but there are not many uranium deposits present in the world. It is present only in a few countries, so some countries have to depend on other countries for this source which becomes a problem. After tapping, comes the problem of transportation . Transportation of atomic energy overseas poses a lot of threat as it increases the risk of accidents happening. Not only this, storing this energy also had its own complications. This again is very difficult and extreme care and safety measures have to be taken while storing. It is also very difficult to find appropriate places to establish atomic power stations as people will not want such stations in a residential area. Also it must be made sure that the stations are not set up in seismic zones. All this tells us that atomic energy is very powerful…so powerful that people say that it can even change the shape of the world!!This helps us realize the enormity of the atomic power, so when it comes to atomic energy…we’d better watch out!!!
